The Challenge
Deliver quiet, high-performance mechanical ventilation across 301 luxury apartments at a landmark Southbank address, meeting strict acoustic expectations and design specifications in a prestige London riverside development.
Project Overview
The Southbank Place Building 3, a 301 high-end apartments development project, presented specific ventilation challenges due to its prestigious nature, therefore demanding innovative solutions to ensure optimal air quality and noise minimisation for its residents.
Our solutions, showcased throughout this project, demonstrate our commitment to exceeding client expectations, ensuring not only compliance with design specifications but also the creation of a truly luxurious and comfortable living experience for residents.
Key Highlights
Following a rigorous tendering selection process we have been appointed to deliver the mechanical ventilation installation for Southbank Place Building 3, a luxury residential complex consisting of 301 luxury apartments overlooking the London Eye and offering panoramic views of the Houses of Parliament, in one of the most iconic, upmarket London locations.
During the process:
- We installed Nuaire ventilation systems, taking the extra step of lagging all ductwork with 25mm Armaflex acoustic insulation to minimize noise.
- In select apartments, we implemented dual Nuaire systems and supplementary purge systems to ensure optimal air quality.
- We expertly installed all fan coil units (FCUs), complete with primary and secondary ductwork, and finished them with sleek linear grills.
Project context: Southbank Place Building 3, Waterloo
Southbank Place Building 3 sits in one of London’s most recognisable riverside locations, with apartments oriented toward the London Eye and Houses of Parliament. For a development of this profile, ventilation had to achieve more than regulatory airflow. Residents expect low noise, stable comfort, and reliable indoor air quality in a high-density luxury setting.
Domani Ventilation was selected through a competitive tender to deliver the mechanical ventilation installation across all 301 units, working to the project’s M&E design and handover programme.
